  • Breakfast at hotel
  • PRIVATE – FULL DAY TOUR CITY TEMPLE, GRAND PALACE AND THONBURI KLONG (TIME: 08.00–16.00 HRS) – After breakfast we head to Wat Po, site of a giant reclining Buddha, and witness the monks’ ritual morning chants. We then ride Tuk Tuks (the three-wheeled taxis so ubiquitous in Bangkok) past Pak Klong Talard Flower Market. The flower market explodes in tropical colors, and flowers play a vital role in Thai culture in temples, hotels, restaurants, and homes. The Grand Palace, an extraordinary example of an ancient Siamese court, first housed the Thailand’s kings. Early Siamese built several palaces for assorted purposes and rituals, including the Funeral Palace, Reception Palace, Throne Hall, Coronation Hall, Royal Guest House, and the temple of the Emerald Buddha.
  • Lunch at a riverside restaurant “Supatra River House Restaurant”
  • Next, we travel by long tail boats along the “Klongs” of Thonburi, canals which once traversed most of the city and lead to its nickname as the Venice of the Orient. Alas, most have become roads for automobiles, but the few that remain still offer a rare and exotic ride past family homes and colorful floating shops and kitchens. Then head to the imposing Wat Arun, beside the Chao Phraya River, and continue to Chinatown where a thriving local community congregates to shop for familiar foods, fruits, herbs, and medicines.

    Remark:

    – Guests needs to dress properly and polite to visit the Grand Palace and Vimanmek Mansion
    – The Grand Palace is closed during special royal ceremonies and during visiting heads of state

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • PRIVATE – FULL DAY TOUR DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET & SAMPRAN RIVERSIDE  (TIME: 07.00–16.00 HRS)
  • As many of Bangkok’s canals have now been filled in we travel out into the suburbs to visit the floating market at Damnoen Saduak. Here we board a small rowing boat and make our way through the crowded waterways as vendors sell their produce from boats, with everything ranging from tourist handicrafts to fresh fruits and hot food.
  • We then continue to the Sampran Riverside (Ex. Rose Garden), a delightful riverside setting where we enjoy a tasty lunch and are entertained by a traditional Thai cultural performance.
  • Upon return to Bangkok and enjoy the balance of your day at leisure.
